The object of the game is to survive on the island as long as possible, avoiding rising lava and other players. After 5 minutes the lava began to rise and gradually covered the island. You have a limited amount of time to gather resources and materials, so don’t waste it in the first place.
Contact with lava will hurt you, but you can rely on it to survive longer. You also gain more materials over time, and buildings are key to escaping the lava and staying alive. Use items like the Wings of Icarus and Chains of Hades to move faster, or drag enemies to push them into the lava.
Play steps
To play Floor Is Lava mode in Fortnite, follow these simple steps

1. Go to the Play section in Fortnite.
2. Find the “By Epic” category and scroll down.
3. You’ll notice that the floor there is in lava mode.
4. Click it and choose Select.
5. You will be returned to the lobby where you can decide to play alone, with friends or with random players. If you want to play with random teammates, turn on Fill.
Winning rules
The main goal in The Floor Is Lava is to stay high to avoid the rising lava. As the second storm circle closed, the lava began to move upward. The Wings of Icarus item is also in this mode and is really helpful for dodging lava. All guns you find will be of the highest quality and come with extra features. Choose your weapons wisely, because once the lava starts rising, you won’t be able to look for better gear. Elimination happens quickly in this game, as falling into lava means certain death, especially in the later stages.
Restarting the van will also quickly disappear under the lava, so you won’t be able to resurrect your teammates. Since special items have limited uses, your best option is to build high for safety. You can build on lava, which helps, but falling into the lava later will end your life.
