How to complete the Checkerboard Zombies Easter Egg?
Positioning the board
To get the chessboard easter egg in Modern Warfare 3: Zombies, you must first find the chessboard in the secret room of the mansion in H7 on the Urzikstan map.
Identify part location
Examine the board to determine the positions of key pieces: the pawn in I1, the bishop in D1, the rook in C5, and the knight in F6. Copy these locations on the game map.
Collect mobile phones
Visit the designated location to collect the mobile phone, which will track the unlocking signal of the H7 door.
Bishop Boss Battle

Go to D1 to face the Bishop Boss. Defeat it, get the dropped mobile phone, send a signal to H7’s mansion, and complete the first step.
Knight Boss Battle
Encounter the knight boss at location F6, use the bishop’s cell phone signal to locate and defeat it. Collect the phone again to proceed to the next step.
Car boss battle
Fight the sniper boss in C5. Reach the top of the complex to defeat it. Collect the third mobile phone to send a signal to H7’s secret room.
Pawn cell phone location
Find the separate house in I1 where Pawn’s cell phone is located. Collecting it will trigger the spawning of powerful zombies. Eliminate them to continue.
final steps
Return to the mansion area of H7 and open the door to the secret room. Inside, find chests containing resources, portable drinks, backpacks, aether crystals, and new schematics.

The last chest will spawn the Red Mimic boss in Cold War Zombies mode. Defeat the king boss and successfully complete the board Easter egg.

Complete the Easter Egg Hunt
Unlock the board Easter egg by retrieving four transmissions scattered across the map and returning them to the board. These transfers are guarded by mini-bosses and the order of collection is flexible.
Positioning board transmission
pawn location
Find the Pawn Transmission Unit in a fishing shack above the Orlov Military Base. Collect it, get ready to spawn disciples, and then quickly move on to collecting other equipment.
car location
Head southwest to a hotel above “Zaravan City” to meet The Rook. Defeat him to obtain the necessary equipment.
bishop position
Explore the upper left corner of the Orange Zone map to discover the Bishop underground. Face the ambush, defeat the Bishop, and retrieve the device.
knight position
Identify the knight driving an armored vehicle across the map. Defeat him to collect the dropped equipment.
Uncover the puzzle door
Return to Shaheen Manor with all acquired equipment and open the door to the hidden room. There’s a loot cache inside, which contains self-resurrections, perk pots, weapons, and more. Be careful, as one hideout contains a Mimic that triggers the King Boss. Successfully taking on the king while maintaining mobility marks the completion of the board Easter egg.
