How to Get Guaranteed Shiny Charmander in Indigo Disk, Legendary Pokemon and Locations In Scarlet & Violet

Pokemon scarlet and violet

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be released on Nintendo Switch in November 2022, marking the beginning of the ninth generation of Pokémon games. Developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, these role-playing games differ from their predecessors by introducing the Pardia region, an open-world environment inspired by the Iberian Peninsula.

Unique to Scarlet and Violet are three different storylines for players to explore, showcasing 110 new Pokémon, including regional forms and time-displaced paradox Pokémon. One notable feature is the Terastal phenomenon, which allows Pokémon to transform into unique “Tera Types.” The game retains popular elements such as vast open areas and Pokémon appearing in the overworld.

Despite initial technical issues and criticism for confusing progression systems and graphics, the games were praised for their open-world design and engaging stories. They were a huge success, selling over 10 million copies in the first three days and setting a record for Nintendo’s largest release. As of September 2023, cumulative sales reached 23.23 million copies.

How to get a guaranteed shiny Charmander in Indigo Disk

To secure your Shiny Charmander in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC, follow these simple steps:

Visit Savannah Rest Area 1:

  • Begin your journey in the Indigo Disk DLC by heading to Savannah Rest Area 1, where you can find the location of the Shiny Charmander.

Climbing stairs:

  • Go up the stairs near the cliff at Savannah Rest Area 1. Once you reach the top, you’ll notice a group of 15 Pokemon next to a tree.

Build reset:

  • To reset the spawn point and increase your chances of encountering a Shiny Charmander, head toward the inside of the ramp and back out. This will refresh the Pokemon spawn point near the tree.

Prepare the fire sandwich:

  • Before you start sparkling, set up a picnic and make a fire sandwich using 1 basil, 1 salty herb, and 1 sweet herb (spicy or sour variations are also available).

Save your game:

  • Make sure to save your game before launching the exploit to avoid wasting resources if something goes wrong.

Unlock starter Pokémon:

  • Donate 3,000 Blueberry Points (BP) to unlock all starter Pokemon, including Charmander. Complete the blueberry mission (BBQ) to get the required BP.

Shiny Hunt:

  • Go back up the tree, reset the spawn point, and look for the Charmander Shiny. Fire-type Sandwich ensures that only Fire-type Pokémon, specifically Charmander, will spawn at that location.

Repeat as needed:

  • You can repeat this process as many times as you want until you successfully encounter a Shiny Charmander, completing the family of living Shiny Charmanders in Pokémon Crimson and Violet.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Gameplay

In Pokémon Crimson and Violet, gameplay sticks to a familiar Pokémon format, with players capturing and trading Pokémon to explore the world and battle other trainers. However, the new addition allows players to choose to fight trainers they encounter along the way.

What sets these games apart is the introduction of an open world that seamlessly blends urban areas with vast wilderness areas, unlike previous Pokémon games. Progression is now more player-driven, with three routes available to choose from, and objectives within those routes can be tackled in any order.

There are 112 new Pokémon in total, including starter Pokémon such as Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, as well as legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon, providing players with diverse choices. Koraidon or Miraidon can help with travel. Regional forms, Paradox Pokémon, and species with “convergent evolution” (such as the gopher-like Wiglite) add depth. The “Let’s Go” mechanic lets Pokémon roam the world engaging in automated wild battles. Co-op play for up to four players is also included.

A novel feature is the Terastal phenomenon, which transforms Pokémon into crystal forms with corresponding “Tera types.” Special moves like Tera Blast match the Pokémon’s Tera Type, enhancing strategic battles in this charming Pokémon adventure.

Pokemon scarlet and violet plot

The game is set in the Pardia region, which draws inspiration from the Iberian Peninsula and features a diverse landscape including lakes, wastelands, and mountains. An important focus is the large crater of Pardia, which was formed by a meteorite impact long ago and now lies in the center of the area. Within this crater lies Zone Zero, where the phenomenon of Terastalization was first discovered.

The region is divided into 15 regions across four provinces (6 in the south, 3 in the east, 3 in the west, and 3 in the north), with each region displaying different Pokémon. It is worth noting that the lakes and borders of the Pardia region are dotted with small islands and rock formations.

The storyline unfolds against this rich backdrop, providing players with a captivating journey through the mystery and adventure of the Pardia region.
