How to Evolve Gligar in Scarlet and Violet?

Scarlet and Purple Gligar

In Scarlet and Violet, Grigar is a cool Pokémon! You won’t see it in the regular Pokémon Crimson game, but it will pop up if you own the first part of the Zone Zero expansion, Cyan Mask. Unfortunately, if you’re playing Pokémon Violet , Gligar is exclusive to Scarlet.

To catch up with Gligar, head north to the Paradise Barrens in the northwest part of the map. If you were in the Cyan Mask story, you would pass through this area looking for the sign. If you’ve been there before, fly there. Gligar isn’t hard to spot. It’s usually around level 20 before completing the main game. But if you search during or after the main story, it will be around level 60. It’s not a legendary Pokémon, but catching it may take a few attempts. A fastball or dusk pitch (especially at night) can increase your chances of catching Gligar.

How to evolve Scarlet and Violet Griga?

Evolving Gligar in Scarlet and Violet is a little tricky, but it’s doable! First, get the Razor Tooth. It’s not the same as Razorclaw. After catching 110 Pokémon, you can get Razorfang as a reward in the Northbound Pokédex, or find it in a cave in Wistful Fields, a little north of where you’re hanging out by Lake Munkidori.

To claim your Dex rewards, open the Pokedex app using (-), select Kitakami Dex, and click the X button to claim your rewards. Once you have the Razorfang, give it to your Gligar. Then, it’s time to wait for the game to go into the evening. If you’re still immersed in the Cyan Mask story, it might be easier to fly back to Pardia and wait there for the night. During the Festival of Masks, the night comes as we head north.

Here’s the key part: during that night, make sure Grigar levels up, either through combat or by using rare candies/experience candies. If you miss that specific time, Gligar won’t evolve. Timing is everything!

Pokemon scarlet and violet

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are games launching in 2022 on Nintendo Switch. They are the first of the ninth set of Pokémon games. These games are different because they take place in a region called Pardia, which, like the Iberian Peninsula, has a large open world.

In these games, players can complete three different stories. Scarlet and Violet showcased 110 new Pokémon, including two new varieties unique to the region, as well as some special Pokémon called Paradox Pokémon. They also have something called Terastal, which turns Pokémon into a special “Tera Type”.

The games received some mixed feedback from experts. Some people like the open world and story, but others don’t like the look of the game or some of the issues it had when it first launched. Even so, they sold a lot, like over 23 million copies, by September 2023. So while they’ve received some criticism, many people still really like them and think they bring something new to the Pokémon games.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Gameplay

In Pokémon Crimson and Violet, the gameplay follows the pattern we’re used to of catching Pokémon, exploring, and fighting trainers. But there’s a cool new twist! Players can now choose if they want to fight trainers on special paths. Unlike older Pokémon games, these games feature vast open worlds where cities and wilderness are mixed together with no clear borders between each other.

You can choose your own path and do things in any order you like, which is pretty neat. There are 112 new Pokémon in these games, including newcomers like Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, as well as two legendary Pokémon, Koraidon and Miraidon, that can help you travel around. They also gave some Pokémon new forms, such as Paradox Pokémon and “Convergent Evolution” Pokémon, which look like other Pokémon but are completely different.

You can even have your Pokémon roam the world and automatically battle other wild Pokémon! Plus, you can team up with three friends for cooperative play. One super cool thing is the Terastal thing, which makes Pokémon look crystal-like and change their type. It’s like they got special moves to match their new types, which is awesome.
