“Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name” is an action-adventure game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. It is a spin-off of the Yakuza series and takes place between Yakuza 6: Song of Life (2016), Yakuza: Like a Dragon (2020) and Yakuza: Fortune. (2024). How long is Yakuza Gaiden?
“Yakuza Gaiden: The Man Erased” is a side story in the “Yakuza” series and is expected to take approximately 10 to 20 hours to complete its main storyline. RGG Studio’s Masayoshi Yokoyama revealed the duration in an interview with Famitsu. Unlike traditional Yakuza games, Gaiden is not the main entry in the series and mainly centers around Kazuma Kiryu.

Yokoyama also mentioned that the game is shorter than a typical Yakuza game, making it a more manageable gaming experience. Pre-ordering the game comes with an additional downloadable content pack that includes the iconic “Like a Dragon” characters Majima Goro, Taiga Saejima and Daigo Dojima as additional characters for the Arena mini-game.
Players can also look forward to a special demo of Yakuza: Infinite Fortune. While the game is primarily planned for a digital release, a limited physical edition will be available in certain Asian regions.
