Apex Legends Ignite Patch Notes

New update for APEX Legends: Ignite

Now it’s your time to shine in Apex Legends: Ignite. With her shield-based abilities, let Conduit be your beacon of regeneration and destruction. She’s the spark your squad needs to become Apex Champions in the faster, deadlier Storm Point. This stormy map has been completely revamped, reduced in size, and with new points of interest like the Tower, Zeus Station, and the Ruined Coast.

Last but not least, the team is excited to share that Cross Progression will be available starting this season. Link your platform to your EA account and showcase your skills wherever you team up.

New Legend: Conduit

Catheters are like fireworks—warm, bright, and short-lived. In order to rise quickly, Rowena must don battle gear made from an incomplete Imperial Titan that she knows is poisoning her. But that’s the price she’s willing to pay for her dream of becoming a legend. At home, she is the core of the family. She solved problems with humor and a bright personality, while quietly working hard and sacrificing – something that didn’t change at the Olympics.

Even though Rowena traded her life and health for Conduit, she still had a lot of fun because she knew Apex Games. Pundits, fans, supporters – she’s there, she saves and archives the replays, her teammates and opponents know she’s there to win!

Storm Point Map Update

Stormpoint is a map beloved by our competitive community for its more predictable pace and high-quality loot. However, there are elements of Storm Point that make it a great competitive map that can also make it more difficult to find action quickly in casual play.

Which brings us to the team’s main goal with this update, which is to increase the fun without sacrificing competitive integrity. To this end, we have taken the following actions:

Adds an attractive central POI for players looking for combat. Wattson’s Pylon Tower and CETO Station provide central hot spots for players who want to fight early.

Reduced overall map size to improve mid-game pacing. The map size of the southern coastline and northern mountains has been significantly reduced, making these areas more attractive for early combat and reducing the overall distance between squads.

Reduce friction in center rotation. With the CETO Station replacing Prowler Island and the redesigned Prowler-Free Zone, rotation of the center of the map has never been smoother.

New Attraction: Wattson’s Pylon

At the end of the Arsenal game, a huge storm hit Storm Point, forcing a shutdown. This is bad news for the city of Sotamo, which is powered primarily by energy infrastructure on or around the island. Watson, a friend close to Suotamo, soon volunteered to assist. Wattson has since led efforts to restore power to The Pylon in partnership with Syndicate. With The Pylon, the team aimed to create a dynamic hotspot where players can reliably find early combat. The team was particularly interested in leveraging the vertical cat-and-mouse gameplay common in World’s Edge.

Some notable features of the Wattson Tower are the charging tower in the center of the POI and the integrated gravity cannon that launches players into redesigned restricted areas. Watson’s room on the top floor also has some particularly interesting details…

We are very excited about the results of Wattson’s Pylon and hope you like it too!

IMC Armory

Unfortunately, the IMC Ghost failed to defend Storm Point from the storm, leaving only the destroyed armory shell. Expect some high-level loot to remain – but ghosts will no longer defend the loot.

Rework area: restricted area

During the storm, the restricted area was hit hard by lightning, part of the fence was destroyed, and prowlers fled! Our goal for this zone is to reduce the friction of rotating in the zone by removing the Prowler, while also providing structure to create better front lines and defensive options when squads are forced into combat.

Rework Area: Lightning Rod

One of the biggest opportunities we hope to address with this update is addressing the issue of lower numbers of players choosing to drop on the high side of the map. In addition to adding ZEUS stations, the team also felt it was important to reduce the overall size of the area to help make these POIs better connected to each other and the rest of Storm Point.

this is all! The team looks forward to hearing your thoughts on new storm spots and playing with everyone. See you in the ring!

Cross progression

With the launch of Season 19, we are excited to roll out cross-progression in phases across existing platforms in Apex Legends™. Watch for in-game prompts to initiate cross-progression migration, which will bring your content and progress together.

For more information and platform limitations, check out our Cross Progression blog here.

Ranking update

Promotional trials are starting in Ignite. Prove your skills to win promotion to the next level. Once you reach the top of your level, you must complete a set of limited-time skill challenges to gain level advancement. Promotional trials ensure a minimum skill level for each ranking level.

Stay tuned to our patch notes blog for more details.

skydiving holographic jet

Holographic sprays are soaring to new heights this season. Attach them to your steering wheel to use them while flying! Once deployed, the Holospray will follow your flight path for a limited time, or until a Skydive Emote or a different Holospray is used. As you fall, hot or not, let the good taunts roll across the ground and in the sky.

See you on the transport ship

We can’t wait to see which part of this season excites you the most. Will Conduit guide you to victory with the full power of her titan? Will Stormpoint replace your current favorite map? Or maybe you’ve been there just for the new taunts. Stay tuned to our patch notes blog on Monday, October 30th for more details and updates in Ignite.
